Membership Terms and Conditions
Below is a list of terms and conditions of membership of Leader Gymnastics Club (LGC). Some of these may also be included in our Club Rules, Codes and Policies. Please note by signing this membership form that you are agreeing to abide by these terms and conditions.
• Contact details
It is the responsibility of all parents/guardians to inform the club if there are any changes to their contact details.
• Fitness to participate
It is the responsibility of all parents/guardians to ensure that their child is physically fit and healthy in order to participate in classes and club activities, particularly after illness or injury. The Club has the right to refuse a participation if it is felt the child may be unfit due to ill health or injury. In some instances, the Club may request a letter from a medical professional to confirm the child is physically fit and in good health to participate.
• Terms Fees
Term fees for classes should be paid in full at the beginning of each term (with exception of pay as you go terms). Please note refunds/credits will not be given for any class that your child is unable to attend. The only exception may be in the event of an extreme emergency, in which case parents/guardians should contact the Club Manager. In case of any pandemic outbreak/infectious diseases (including Covid-19) or any act of god/weather or terrorism or forced government closures, Leader GC reserves the rights not return any admissions that were paid to us.
• Term schedules/dates
A full list of terms for each year are posted at the gym and on the Club website and are also posted on the Leader Facebook page at the start of the membership year (i.e. in September). It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to be aware of details of terms, e.g. commencement/end of term dates and your child’s class times throughout the year. The gym cannot be held responsible if your child turns up for a class, for example when the term has concluded.
• Club Rules
LGC takes all precautions necessary to prevent accidents/injuries and are committed to maintaining the safest environment as possible for all our members, however, it is important to be aware that gymnastics activities have an inherent risk. It is therefore incumbent on all members to abide by the Club’s General Rules at all times.
• Drop off and collection of children
When collecting children, it is Club policy that parents/guardians, are required to meet their children in the viewing area inside the gym and escort them to their car. For safety reasons, we will not let children leave the gym without being in the presence of a parent/guardian.
• Gymnastics Ireland Codes of Conduct
As a member of LGC, each gymnast is also a member of Gymnastics Ireland (GI) which is the governing body for Irish gymnastics. GI are committed to creating and maintaining the safest possible environment for young people who participate in Irish gymnastics and this is reflected in the GI Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Children’s Sports and Code of Conducts for Young Gymnasts/Parents. • Leader Gymnastics Club Codes, Policies, Guidelines
LGC is committed to implementing the guidelines and procedures outlined in GI codes and as best practice, the LGC has also adopted a number of rules, policies and codes of conduct as follows: Codes of Conduct for Young Gymnasts / Parents - Travel Guidelines - Club Behaviour Sanctions - Social Media/Photography Policy - Anti-Bullying Policy. Participation Declaration
By ordering, I am agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
● I hereby consent to the child/children named on this form to participate in Leader Gymnastics Club and Gymnastics Ireland (if applicable) activities.
● I understand that the sport of gymnastics has an inherent risk of injury and give my child/children permission to participate in the sport of gymnastics at Leader Gymnastics Club.
● By signing this form, I understand that I am confirming that I have read and agree to abide by the membership terms and conditions outlined on this form (as listed at 5. Above)
● I confirm that I and my child/children are aware of, have read, understand and agree to abide by all Leader Gymnastics Club and Gymnastics Ireland Rules, Policies and Codes.
● I declare that my child is fit and able to participate and agree to inform the coaches/staff if otherwise.
● I consent to emergency medical treatment/first aid being administered to my child if considered necessary.
